About the Project
Adolescents and young people part of Centre for Environment Education's (CEE) Young Reporters for Environment (YRE) Program participated in a 2 hour online workshop on basics of article writing with an assignment for a later feedback session. This was part of the organization's on-going process of building important communication skills amongst its YRE cohorts who would represent their schools at international competitions.
Process
The objective of the workshop(s) was to acquaint participants with the basics of article writing and structuring, the difference between an article and an essay and effective use of data in an article. Through the use of quizzes, the attempt was to create an interactive experience for the participants, whose age group ranged from 15 to 25 years.
Participants were given assignments for a feedback round for the next session. The objective was to create a rounded learning experience for the participants, with feedback used as a tool to fine-tune learnings.
